Additions Support Company's Growing Market Opportunities as Leading Provider of Intelligent Video Analysis Software for Retailers
CAMBRIDGE, MA Feb. 27, 2006 - IntelliVid Corporation, the leader in intelligent video analysis software for retail, today announced that Robert Walters has joined the company as vice president of sales and Dr. Myra Hart has been appointed to the company's Board of Directors.
For almost 20 years, Walters has successfully transformed sales and marketing teams and processes, while exceeding revenue and market goals. Most recently, he served as executive vice president of sales at Datavantage, a leading provider of information technology to retailers. Before that, he founded Callos Technology Partners, an independent information technology firm, where he was general manager/vice president of sales. Earlier in his career, Walters was vice president of sales/marketing for hardware reseller Entré Consulting.
According to Patrick Sobalvarro, president and CEO of IntelliVid, "Bob has built a career developing and executing successful consultative sales strategies for Fortune 100 and entrepreneurial organizations. He comes to IntelliVid at an ideal time as demands on our sales organization are ramping up, driven by the fact that retailers are increasingly seeking out intelligent video analysis solutions."
Dr. Hart is well known in the retail industry. She was one of the four founding officers of Staples, Inc., and served from 1985 to 1990 in various management capacities there. Since 1995, she has served as a professor of entrepreneurial management at the Harvard Business School. Dr. Hart has been a director of Office Depot since 2004, as well as a director of Royal Ahold, eCornell, Nina McLemore Inc., and the immediate past chair of the Center for Women's Business Research. She is also a trustee of Cornell University and a member of the Committee of 200.
"We are fortunate to have someone of Dr. Hart's retail and business renown join IntelliVid's board," said Sobalvarro. "Few individuals in the retail world have her credentials. We look forward to her valued participation."
